Does ice cream have eggs? This is a tough one to answer because some do and some do not. Unfortunately, we cannot give a simple answer of yes or no. There are just too many ice cream brands which each manufacture a variety of flavors with various ingredients.
Generally, the majority of ice cream flavors you can buy in the grocery store do not contain eggs. However, there are brands like Haagen Dazs that contain eggs in almost every ice cream flavor. If you are trying to avoid eggs, be sure to take a close look at the product ingredients. Be extra cautious of products that contain baked goods such as mix-ins like cake or brownies. Vanilla flavors also are likely to have eggs, especially French vanilla. Additionally, organic ice cream tends to contain eggs in many of the flavors.
