Ice Cream Flavors That Start With J

When thinking about delicious ice cream flavors and their initial letters, the letter ‘J’ probably doesn’t immediately spring to mind for most people. However, there are likely more you might have imagined. Here are the flavors that begin with ‘J’ and general descriptions of each one:

  • Jacked Up Tennessee Toffee – Toffee ice cream with whisky sweet sauce and a Heath bar garnish. Made by Ashby’s Sterling Ice Cream.
  • Jackfruit – It uses jackfruit to flavor this ice cream. While it can be dairy based, it is often used for non-dairy ice cream with banana and mangos.
  • Jaffa – An orange flavored ice cream with chocolate and jaffa cakes mixed in.
  •  Jalapeño – The spiciness of the  jalapeño peppers is cooled by the creaminess of the ice cream base.
  • Jamaican Coffee – Jamaican coffee flavored ice cream.
  • Jamaican Rum – Jamaican rum is the star of this ice cream and can contain notes of brown sugar, cinnamon, and/or nutmeg.
  • Jamaican Rum Raisin – Same as above but with raisins that are soaked in rum.
  • Jamoca – A coffee flavored ice cream produced by Baskin Robbins.
  • Jamoca Almond Fudge – It’s made with coffee ice cream, almonds pieces, and fudge. Found at Baskin Robbins. Cedar Crest makes this flavor with similar ingredients and calls it Jamocha Joe.
  • Jasmine – The non-poisonous variety of jasmine flower is used to flavor a typical creamy ice cream base of this flavor.
  • Jasmine Tea – This flavor uses jasmine scented tea (often green tea) to flavor a creamy ice cream base.
  • Java – Coffee flavored ice cream.
  • Java Chip – A classic combo of coffee ice cream and chocolate chips.
  • Java Chocolate Chunk – A flavor of HEB Creamy Creations. It contains 100% Arabic coffee and dark chocolate chunks.
  • Java Jolt – Coffee ice cream with chunks of dark chocolate. A rotational flavor of Blue Bell.
  • Jelly Bean – This is not a mainstream flavor but there are certainly people who make it at home.
  • Jersey Sea Salt Caramel – Vanilla ice cream with caramel and Jersey sea salt.
  • Jumbleberry – An ice cream with a combination of berries such as blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries.
  • Jumping Jersey Cow – Peanut butter flavored ice cream with chocolate coated caramel mini cups and fudge swirls.
  • Junior Mint – This was once a flavor of Turkey Hill that had Junior Mints mixed into a vanilla like dessert. It was discontinued sometime between 2012-2015 based on this review by On Second Scoop. There are recipes online to make it at home.
  • Juniper Berry – A creamy ice cream base with juniper berries and lemon flavor.
  • Just Sprinkles – Vanilla ice cream, chocolatey sugar cone, and one of the favorite ice cream toppings of all time, sprinkles.
